Questions we get asked, mostly at the stall
If yours isn't here, email us and we'll answer properly — usually the same day.
When will my order arrive?
Orders placed before 3pm on a working day go out the same day, otherwise the next. Most parcels arrive within two to three working days, and you'll get an email when yours is packed.
How much is postage?
Postage is calculated at checkout by weight. During our launch window shipping is free and applies automatically — no code needed.
Can I collect instead?
Yes. Choose collection at checkout and we'll arrange a time, or bring your order number to the market stall and we'll hand it over there.
Something's wrong with my order
Email us with your order number and a photo. If we've got it wrong we'll replace it or refund it, no argument.
Which chew should I start with?
For a first order, a pig ear or a hairy rabbit ear suits most dogs. If yours demolishes everything, go straight to an ostrich knuckle or an olive branch chew. For training, pizzle bites and beef skin break up small.
Are these suitable for puppies?
Softer options are puffed pig snouts, rabbit ears, beef skin and chicken feet. Avoid the hardest chews — hooves, knuckles and olive wood — until the adult teeth are through.
My dog reacts to chicken and beef. What's left?
Rabbit, lamb and fish. Hairy rabbit ears and feet, hairy lamb legs and Baltic sprats are all single protein and away from the usual culprits — our Sensitive Tummies collection gathers them together.
Why is the fur left on some of them?
It's deliberate. The fur adds natural fibre, which many owners find helps keep things moving and supports gut health. It looks alarming the first time; dogs love it.
How often can I give a chew?
Treats of any kind should stay within about 10% of your dog's daily food. A long-lasting chew a few times a week plus smaller training treats works for most dogs — adjust dinner accordingly.
Do I need to supervise?
Always supervise your dog with any chew, and take it away once it's small enough to swallow whole. Keep fresh water available. If your dog has dental problems or a medical condition, check with your vet first.
How should I store them?
Cool, dry and out of sunlight, in the resealable bag or an airtight tub. Air-dried treats keep for months but they're at their best in the first few weeks.
Are these a complete food?
No. Everything we sell is a complementary treat or topper, not a replacement for a balanced diet.
Why do some things sell out so quickly?
We buy in small batches and split them into retail packs ourselves. It keeps things fresh and prices sensible, but popular lines do run out before the next order lands.
How do I become an ambassador?
Message us on Instagram and tell us about your dog. We take on a small number at a time; if we're full you'll go on the waiting list with a 15% code in the meantime, and we review the list every three months.
Do you sell wholesale?
Yes — to groomers, day cares, training classes and independent shops. Email hello@waggytailskitchen.co.uk for a trade list.
Where can I meet you?
At our market stall most weeks, and live on Whatnot for auctions and bundles. Both are announced on Instagram first.
